Keep Our Kids Singing!

The EMC Children's Chorus, formed in 2016, brings together young singers from all over the Fox Valley to sing beautiful music, form lasting friendships, and start a lifelong love of singing. The EMC Children's Chorus performs several times a year alongside the Elgin Master Chorale, as well as neighboring neighborhoods and beyond, teaching its young singers the value and joy of serving your community through song. We invite you to experience the EMC Children's Chorus, and celebrate the bright future ahead.

To keep the EMC Children's Chorus running, donations are a way to maintain a place for choristers to sing, make memories and meet lifetime friends. ENCORE is a donation campaign where family and friends come together to donate any amount to help continue the success of the chorus. This campaign runs from May 1st to May 17th. The purpose of the campaign is to encourage EMC Children's Chorus families to collect donations from friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, and business associates to help keep the tuition affordable for Chorus members. Additionally, this gives our Chorus family the opportunity to increase awareness of the Chorus and the benefits of membership.

Make your tax-deductible donation today by clicking the link to give . If you'd like to give in honor of a chorister, make sure to give their name in the acknowledgement note section. Each chorister has set a personal fundraising goal of $100. Your donation will help us meet our goal, and keep giving kids a place to sing, express themselves, and make lifelong friends.

We hope that you and your family are safe and well. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to take its toll on the Elgin community, the nation, and across the globe. Many worthy organizations are in crisis and seeking a short-term lifeline to weather this unprecedented financial storm. The Elgin Master Chorale is no different and is appealing for your help. The Elgin Master Chorale has been a cultural cornerstone of Elgin and the Fox Valley for the past 73 years, but the past six weeks have been an especially trying time for the 125 members of our Master Chorale, Chamber Singers, and Children’s Chorus. Rehearsals have ceased, concerts have been cancelled, and with it, our main source of spring income is gone. Without help from individuals and companies like yours, EMC is at risk of losing artistic viability for the upcoming 2020-21 season and our long-term future. Our participation in civic events, educational concerts, and classical choral performances that support and delight the Elgin community will be at risk. Nothing can compare with the emotional connection that audiences experience through a live musical performance and we believe that music will be crucial in helping the community return to normalcy.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to the EMC Children's Chorus. Have a musical day!

Sincerely,

Your Friends at EMC Children's Chorus
